A team of volunteers from The New Forest Trust, funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund are recording the living memories of thirty New Forest Commoners.

Commoner Peggy Tillyer was quoted in the 'Lymington Times' of the 16th July 2010 as saying:

'I have seen so many changes in the Forest over the years and my memories will be there not only for my Grandchildren but for future generations.'  'I am looking forward to listening to other commoners who have been recorded. I am sure it will bring back many memories.'
