Community Grants.
The Lymington Community Foundation is dedicated to increasing the amount of community funding that is available and accessible to voluntary organisations and community groups throughout Lymington.
General Criteria for Grant Making
We are interested in grant applications that meet the following requirements:
- Grants should have an impact on one or more specific local issues (you should be able to demonstrate that any grant received will make a real difference to the community it intends to support).
- The application should state how the project will meet the objectives set out above, in a realistic and practical stages.
- Groups applying to the Foundation are expected to be clear about their group's short and long-term objectives and show how any grant received would affect the objectives.
- Applicants need to be clear about how they intend to measure the effectiveness of the work supported by a grant from the Foundation.
- Applicants should demonstrate a focus on the needs of the users of the service and how they have been involved in the grant application.
The Foundation recognises the fact that its promise of funding can in itself attract grants from other sources.
Lymington Community Foundation is willing to consider applications made to it as part of a funding package from a number of sources where its involvement can have a significant impact on a project.
